We often visited the Derwent Valley when we lived in Tasmania. The late afternoon light lit the scene perfectly, highlighting the gold of the poplars, and lighting the tops of the trees and the crests of the distant hills. For me, this was the idyllic pastoral scene, portraying serenity and calm.
