I loved the drama of the lone tree on the hillside caught in a beam of sunlight streaming from a gap in the clouds. The dark grey of the sky is a wonderful counterpoint to the deep gold of the dry grass on the hills. This is one of many captivating scenes around the area where I live in the Central Highlands of Victoria near the charming town of Daylesford.
